We are actively seeking an Operations Support Engineer L2 for a long-term freelance contract within a major European agency.

Based in Strasbourg, you will provide level 2 support in close collaboration with DevSecOps teams, architects, and operational teams, ensuring the stability, security, and operational continuity of critical, high-stakes systems.

You will work in a multicultural, multi-vendor environment with a strong focus on service excellence.

Duties

  • Ensure the stability and continuity of production systems by carrying out the corrective, preventive, and adaptive maintenance activities required to uphold defined service levels.

  • Provide operational support for middleware and integration components (gateways, messaging and data management platforms, identity and access management systems, web servers).
  • Maintain up-to-date operational documentation (procedures, knowledge base, incident reports) and actively contribute to knowledge transfer within the team.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT operations or application/system support, including at least 2 years of level 2 support on large-scale critical systems.
  • Solid command of ITIL processes: incident, problem, change, release, and knowledge management.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments, container orchestration platforms, and observability tools.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, API management, IAM solutions (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML), and event-driven messaging platforms.
  • Valued certifications: ITIL Foundation or higher, Linux Administration, container orchestration, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical skills, documentation rigour, and ease of communication in a multicultural and multi-vendor environment.
  • Good level of English (minimum B2).

Our offer

  • A long-term freelance contract, 100% on-site, within an international institutional environment.
  • Ambitious projects with high strategic impact, in a stimulating and constantly evolving technological context.
  • A multicultural and innovative working environment, with high-level technical teams.
  • Competitive remuneration, commensurate with your expertise and responsibilities.
